I posted in here as I know a lot of newer players look in this channel for advice and guidance.
Posting with an alt cos I'm dying inside and a lot of it is to do with embarrasment. (Those who know me in corp know who I am and to their credit, they aren't calling me a **** to my face. Thanks guys).
42mil skill point character. Got podded tonite... it happens, not worried about that - but: Quote: So you died? Well you have a Clone Grade Alpha at [a station]. Enjoy your afterlife, note that 1024000 skill points were lost from the skill Gallente Battleship.
So, the moral of the story is. "Remember. PvP is exciting, but in your rush to get back out there, don't forget to renew your clone".
Here endeth the lesson

Edited by: Rhianna Kontrai on 24/06/2007 08:18:18 With my attributes, it's 28 days. With implants I should get it down by 4-5 days. (high willpower and low perception 4tl)
Just really angry at myself. Keep thinking of all the other things I could train in that 3-4 weeks.
Only pixels though, it's only pixels... ... yeah right

I'm going to train it up again, just bite the bullet and get it over and done with.
What made me curious is that I can still climb into - and use - the ships that BS V was a pre-requisite to train for (carrier). It would have hurt more so otherwise. Now it's just an embugerance.
I'm assuming that the pre-requisite skills means you need them to train for a skill (BS V for carrier for instance) but once you have it, the 'door is open'.
With that, as it appears in my case, you don't actually lose tooooo much in actual skills when you screw up like that.

Originally by: Klebzellok A million skillpoints lost, no way that's two weeks. You need both attributes at 32+ to manage that.
Not sure how the SP loss is calculated, but I doubt you lost as much as 1M if you got it back in 14 days.
I think he didn't lose a million skill points, as maybe it's a percentage of your total that you lose compared to the ineffectiveness of your clone. If you have just let your date of expirey for your clone pass, the impact won't be half as much as if you don't have a clone worthy of the name.
